An Ember September ! New Book Releases that will light up September

Hello and welcome back to my Blog ! It’s September ! Can you believe that 2020 only has 4 more months to go ? It’s insane how time flies. September will be an enjoyable month regarding books, because there are so many new book releases that will light up this month. (Hence why I called the post: An Ember September,-fire and stuff xD)

Here are some new book releases this month that I am looking forward to and wanted to share with you !

1). Blood & Honey ( Serpent & Dove #2) by Shelby Mahurin (September 1st)

Of course I had to start with the book I am excited about the most. Serpent & Dove was one of my favorite reads in 2019, I would’ve sold my soul for the sequel! I bought the e-book but I haven’t started reading it yet. I am super excited to dive into the world of Lou & Reid again.

2). Legendborn (Legendborn#1) by Tracy Deonn (September 15th)

I love Ya books with secret societies and this book not only includes one but the heroine is also black ! It screams diversity and I’m all for it. It also includes, demons and queer kids with magical powers. I’m sold !

3). Grown by Tiffany D.Jackson ( September 15th)

This book is loosely based on the scandal of R.Kelly so I know it’s going to be hart hitting and extremely emotional & triggering. I’m pretty sure this book is about a girl who ends up being part of a murder investigation and the aftermath of the murder. I’m excited to read it !

4). Ties that tether by Jane Igharo (September 29th)

The main character is Nigerian and falls for a white man against her better judgement and against her fathers dying wish. I put this on my tbr because it will surely touch up on the cultural struggles these two will face and how hard it is to date someone who is not from your same ethnicity.

5). Make a Scene by Mimi Grace (September 16th)

That cover !! It’s a romance book with the fake dating trope and I love it ! Super excited to read this one.

Those are 5 September releases I’m looking forward to. Do we have any books in common on our tbr ? Let me know in the comments.
